NFL Game Preview – Houston at Washington

The Houston Texans visit the Washington Redskins in a solid matchup on Sunday (4:15 pm ET, CBS).

This game will be an exciting one as each team is coming off of a solid victory in week one. The Houston Texans will be the 3 point favorite in NFL Betting at JustBet and the over/under for the game is 44.

The Texans shocked much of the nation by putting down the Colts in the first week. Last year the Texans were able to compete on a weekly basis because of a stellar passing attack, but they got it done in a completely different way last week.  Their running game led the way as Arian Foster ran for 231 yards and 3 touchdowns on the day.

The Washington Redskins will still be a tough opponent as they have a new look on the offensive end. Last week Donovan McNabb was able to lead the team to a 13-7 victory over their division foes. The most impressive aspect of this game may have been the fact that they limited the Cowboys to just 7 points on the game. If they can put together another defensive effort like this they will be a tough team to beat.

Over the past two meetings the Redskins have dominated the Texans. They have outplayed them on both sides of the ball. This Texans team has really developed in the past couple of years though and you can expect a stronger effort from Houston.

The key to this matchup will be whether or not the Redskins’ defense plays the way they did last week. If they can limit Schaub in the air then they will have a good shot at victory.

We really like Houston to win and easily cover in this one. Houston is a Super Bowl caliber team. The line is Houston -3, we are buying a half point just in case it comes down to a field goal. Houston bigtime.
