Nebraska at Kansas State
The Nebraska Cornhuskers are the No. 7-ranked NCAA College Football team in the nation – but they sure didn’t look the part in their last game.
The Cornhuskers are coming off a bye week, which gave them lots of time to reflect on a lackluster effort against South Dakota State, and to prepare for their Big 12 conference opener against the Kansas State Wildcats on Thursday at Snyder Family Stadium (7:30 pm ET, ESPN).
The Cornhuskers are a 12-point road favorite in NCAA Football Odds at JustBet.
The ‘Huskers were huge 43-point favorites against lowly South Dakota State on Sept. 25, but limped to a 17-3 win that did little to inspire the ‘Husker faithful – or NCAAF Betting fans, for that matter. The poor performance was mostly due to the player who had up until that point been one of the team’ standouts, quarterback Taylor Martinez.
Martinez is averaging 124 rushing yards – 11th most in the country – and has scored eight touchdowns on the ground, but his inexperience showed against South Dakota State. He lost a fumble on Nebraska’s first possession and threw two interceptions later in the game, wining up 6 for 14 for 140 yards with a touchdown.
Kansas State. Meanwhile, beat Central Florida 17-13 on Saturday, unable to cover the 6.5–point spread as favorites, while the total score of 30 went under the total.
Both teams are unbeaten, winning their first four games. Nebraska is 4-0 SU and 1-3 ATS, Kansas State is 4-0 SU and 2-1 ATS.
