Look Ahead Lines
Look ahead lines are point spreads on a game that is not in the immediate future and/or is being played after other scheduled games are played first.
Example: Ohio State may be playing Penn State this weekend, but the look ahead line for next weekend has them as 5 point favorites over Michigan.
Look ahead lines can be bet at certain sportsbooks that accept “exotic wagers”. Once you bet on a look ahead line, you are locked in on that spread for that particular game, for better or for worse.
If the game does not materialize (because one of the teams lost or the game was cancelled) the game is graded as a “no action” and your bet money will be refunded.
