BetOnline to Close New Jersey Accounts

Scott Morris | August 26, 2019
New Jersey BetOnline

Popular offshore online sportsbook has apparently contacted residents of that state who have an account with them, notifying them they are no longer allowed to wager there and that they have until September 30th to remove their funds.

This is a result of the State of New Jersey spending a large amount of money and time to chase after any entity they can that is related to offshore betting.

New Jersey led the way in getting the national ban on sports betting struck down. Now they are leading the way on limiting their resident’s options as well. They have already gone after popular sports betting information outlets Oddshark and Vegas Insider. Now they have apparently managed to get Betonline.ag to abstain from offering their service in their state as well.

Here is the message many New Jersey residents are receiving from BetOnline: “It has come to our attention that your BetOnline account is registered in New Jersey. Please note that, per our Terms and Conditions, BetOnline does not accept customers from New Jersey and your account has been closed. All pending wagers have been cancelled and refunded. You have until September 30th, 2019 to withdrawal your remaining funds.”
