2024 Army Navy Game Preview – Line – Pick

The 2024 Army Navy game will be one of the more anticipated in recent years. This is because both teams have had winning seasons. In fact, Army has only one blemish on their schedule and just won the American Athletic Championship by beating Tulane 35-14. This is the same Tulane team that beat Navy 35-0 just three weeks ago. Army is 11-1 heading into this game.

Navy has had an impressive season in their own right. After starting 6-0, they ran into the military college buzzsaw known as Notre Dame. After their beatdown at the hands of the Fighting Irish, the Midshipmen have gone 2-2, and are currently sitting with an 8-3 record. They would love to beat Army and cap off their regular season with a win against their biggest rival.

Odds: Even though we have our own NCAAF odds, they are compiled from an averaging of offshore lines. But, there are currently no lines available for this game. This leads us to speculate what it will be. We are thinking that Army will be a solid favorite. Double digits. So, Army -11.5 seems like a good line to start with. Update (Saturday Night): The line was just released at Army -4.5 and has been bet up to Army -5 (-12). I expect this one to keep climbing.

Army is a better team. Their only loss is to the same Notre Dame team that smashed Navy. The Irish also smashed Army. Army QB Bryson Daily is the big man on campus. He is the focal point of the offense. He has rushed for 1,354 yards and 25 TD’s. He has also passed for 860 yards and 8 TD’s. Plus, if you combine the running backs on this squad you get another 1500 yards rushing with 14 TD’s. Army scores 32.9 PPG and allows just 15 PPG.

Navy is similar in a lot of ways. They too score 32 PPG and their QB, Blake Horvath, is the lynchpin in all aspects of the offense. He has rushed for 973 yards and has punched in 13 TD’s. He has passed for 1154 yards and 11 TD’s through the air. The difference Navy and Army are their defense. Navy allows 23 PPG, a full 8 points more than Army.

Defense will be the decider here. Turnovers will be everything. If turnovers stay about even, you can count on Army pulling off the expected win against their rivals. Navy will need to win the turnover battle for a chance to win this one outright. However, we don’t see this happening. This is Army’s year and they should win this one handedly. Army wins by 2 TD’s. You can bet Army to win and cover at these sportsbooks and know you will get paid if you win.
