Davante Adams Next Team Betting Odds

The wide receiver famous for his dominating performances while playing in Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers and now languishing on a below average Raiders teams for the past three seasons is said to be on the official trading block.

The 6-time pro-bowler missed last week with a hamstring injury and will miss this week as well. Speculation of trade possibilities first began earlier this week when Raiders head coach Antoni Pierce did a really dumb and short-sighted thing (or did he?), when he liked a post on social media which suggested a Davante Adams trade. Either the guy has a room temperature IQ or he is playing 3-D chess and used this as an un-official method to let the league know that the Raiders were interested.

The rumor mill has stated that the Raiders would want at least a 2nd round draft pick and financial compensation for the player.

Davante Adams is in the third year of a five year $140M deal. That’s $28M per year.

Does Davante Adams Have Anything Left in the Tank?

Let’s take a look at the numbers. In three games he has played this season, Adams had a total of 18 catches for 209 yards and a TD. That is 6 catches per game and 65+ yards. These are not exactly Earth shattering numbers. But the Raiders QB situation isn’t the best on the planet either. What could he do if he were to play for a gunslinger like… oh I dunno… Aaron Rodgers again? In 2021 with the Packers and Rodgers, he caught 123 passes for 1,516 yards and 14 TD’s.

Last season Adams caught over 100 passes for 1000+ yards with sub-par quarterbacking. So, it’s safe to say that he probably still has something left in the tank. He is 31 years old, which is not over-the-hill as far as top notch receivers go. Some of the greats go on to play at a high level into their mid and even a few into their late 30’s.

As you can see below, the team he is most favored to be traded to are the Jets. It would only make sense to match him back with his buddy Aaron Rodgers. If the Jets can get him for a 2nd rounder and some cash they would make out like bandits.
