Who Will be Democrats New Candidate? Vegas Odds

James Willis | July 11, 2024
Kamala Harris to take over as Dem nominee?

Since the disastrous debate last month where current President Joe Biden appeared feeble and forgetful, the Democrat party has been split into two factions. Party hardliners and “blue no matter who” voters believe that Biden is their best hope and want him to stay as the party candidate. Meanwhile, major party donors including George Clooney and Michael Moore have come out publicly against Biden representing the party in this round of elections.

There is a strong belief among many experts that the Democratic Party will be able to talk sense into Biden and have him step down by the DNC Convention next month. But, the decision remains his and he has been very defiant to this point. Earlier this week we posted an article which published sportsbook odds of whether Biden will step down on or before the convention on August 19th.

Now, there are odds as to which person will replace Biden as the party representative.

Interestingly enough, Kamala Harris is the heavy favorite to take over the ticket even though she is enormously unpopular with the American people.

The smart money may be on Gavin Newsome. Even though he is currently the governor of California, a state which is struggling in many areas, he says all the right things and looks the part.
