NBA Championship Odds & Picks Start of 2024 Playoffs

The playoffs are upon us. The games begin tonight with the Lakers at New Orleans and the Warriors at the Kings. These first games decide where teams are placed in the tournament. In this article we will show you the current odds and give our opinion of which teams to bet.

The Boston Celtics are the big dogs on the block and are heavily favored to win it all at +160. They finished the regular season with the best record at 64-18. The Nuggets are #2 on the odds sheet at +350 and finished tied with the best record on the west at 57-25 with the Thunder.

We are not huge fans of betting the heavy favorite but if you want to cruise your way through the first couple rounds without too much of a worry then maybe this bet is for you. We like to take longer shots and hope that one of them cash. Our underdog pick has got to be the Miami Heat at +4000. Though just 46-36 in the regular season, they always seem to pull their shit together in the playoffs and make a run. If they make it to the Eastern Finals you can start hedging them.

The Warriors might be worth a look at +8000. Though they are not the Warriors of old, they certainly have the ability to topple most of the teams on the board should they get hot.

A Game of Streaks

Just like any sport, the team with the hot streak does the most damage. In this case, the 76ers are that team. They are on an 8 game win streak and are currently paying out +2000 to win it all. Why not throw at hundo on them right now?

OKC and the Knicks are both on 5 game wins streaks. OKC is paying out at only +1400 and we don’t love them to win it all but the Knicks at +3500 offer some value.
