Best Bets for This Sunday’s Top NBA Games – Free Picks
PHOENIX @ MILWAUKEE (MIL -3.5)
The total hasn’t been released for this game yet, but if it is 221 or better, play the Under. The last five times these two teams have played, the total has been set at 231.5 or higher. It likely won’t be anywhere near 230 with the way these two teams have been playing as of late.
The Suns put up a whopping on a Charlotte team that ranks 27th in Defensive Efficiency. Phoenix has been wildly inconsistent on offense lately with point totals of 107, 112, 117, and 107 in the last four games. The Suns haven’t been good against the number either. Phoenix is 3-6 ATS in its last nine games and just 2-6-1 ATS in its last ten against Milwaukee.
The Bucks, of course, made the switch to Doc Rivers and ever since Milwaukee has been improving on defense. The Bucks rebounded from a bad loss to Sacramento with a 114-105 win over Philly on Thursday. Milwaukee recently won six straight games and held four of the opponents under 100 points. The last three times the Suns and Bucks have played, they’ve averaged just 215 points.

DENVER @ DALLAS (DEN -3, 230.5)
The Mavs loss to OKC on Thursday knocked them into the play-in tournament. Dallas is now one game behind Sacramento and Phoenix in the race for the coveted No. 6 spot in the Western Conference playoff standings. Luka Doncic didn’t play on Thursday and he’s listed as questionable for Sunday. Denver (47-20) has taken over the West lead and is capable of taking care of Dallas whether Doncic plays or not.
Denver has proven that this year already. The Nuggets beat Dallas and covered in each of their two games this season. However, both of those games were in Denver. The Nuggets have actually won and covered in three straight against Dallas with all three games played in Denver.
Playing in Dallas is whole different story.
The Mavericks have beaten Denver at home in 11 of the last 15 games at the American Airlines Center. Dallas has been on a run of its own, winning four of its last five. They have covered five straight. In their last four trips to Dallas, Denver has won by 1, lost by 28, lost by 14, and lost by 10. With or without Luka, the Mavs keep this one close at home and cover. Don’t be surprised if they pull the upset.

ATLANTA @ LA CLIPPERS (LAC -12.5)
Russell Westbrook is out indefinitely and James Harden is questionable for this one. The Clippers have been leaning on PG and he has been coming through as of late. Look for a points prop total in the neighborhood of 21.5, which is where it has been the last six games. Incidentally, George has hit the Over on his points prop in six straight games.
George has scored 26, 28, 22, 22, 21, and 29 points in his last six games. The Clips are 3-3 SU and 2-4 ATS in those six games. They’ve been inconsistent enough to make a play on a double-digit spread scary. The Hawks are one of the poorer defensive teams in the NBA too. They rank 28th in scoring defense (121.3 ppg) and 28th in opponent field goal percentage (49.4%).
PG has gone Over his points prop in six straight, as mentioned, and 6 of his last 8 games. The Clippers beat the Hawks in their one meeting this season, 149-144. Kawhi Leonard led LA with 36 and Harden had 30. George only had 18, but with Harden’s status questionable, you can bet PG will be counted on to bring more on Sunday night.
