The 2024 edition of the Super Bowl, aka Super Bowl 58, will feature two teams for which the public is very familiar. The 49ers and the Chiefs both have a huge fan base and a long history of success in the NFL. The Chiefs have three Super Bowl trophies to their credit and the 49ers have five.
Super Bowl 58 is a rematch of Super Bowl 55. In that game the 49ers were leading late in the game before a miraculous come back by the Chiefs to seal the victory. This is a chance for the 49ers to get some revenge on the Chiefs, although many of the faces on the San Francisco team are different this time around. Most notably, QB Brock Purdy, who is in his second season, and RB Christian McCaffrey, who is just in his second season with the team, are relative newcomers to the franchise.
