Titans vs Seahawks Preview and Free Pick
The Titans are feeling their playoff hopes and dreams balloon pop after giving up a lead and eventually losing to the Houston Texans in OT this past weekend. To make matters worse, the Texans were starting their backup QB Case Keenum.
This week the Titans will host the Seahawks who are riding high after their win over NFC heavyweight Philadelphia Eagles. Geno Smith will be back under center for the Seahawks for the first time in several games. He was out with an injury.
Sportsbooks currently have this line at Seattle -2.5 points
Tennessee Titans
Titans rookie QB and heir apparent Will Levis threw for just 199 yards last week and had one interception. The offense really seemed to struggle. The Titans are 5-9 and have really no shot to get into the playoffs. This doesn’t mean they won’t put up a fight. They want to see what they got in the new kid on the block.
Seattle Seahawks
The Hawks are fighting for the playoffs. They are 7-7 and are “in the hunt” as they say. Like we said, Geno Smith is back but you should expect to see Seattle try to establish the running game. Last week, running back Kenneth Walker III showcased his skill with 112 all-purpose yards and a touchdown across 22 touches.
Action Report
The public betting action has been about even on both tickets and money. There has been sharp action tracked on the Seahawks however. There are no significant trends which support either team in this matchup.
Free Pick
We are going go ahead and take the Titans at home. The Seahawks may be riding high but they have to come crashing down, probably sooner than later is our thinking. At the end of the day the Seahawks are a .500 squad. They are on the road starting a QB who hasn’t taken live game reps in a while. The Titans have nothing to lose and will play loose.
