Hard Rock Bet Re-Launches in Florida
Last week we reported Seminole Hard Rock’s plans to reboot their online sportsbook after some key legal decisions were made clearing the way. Namely, the suspension of the original deal between the State of Florida and Seminole Hard Rock was lifted. We reported the sportsbook should be live by next month. Well, it didn’t take nearly that long.
Florida residents can now find “Hard Rock Bet” in their app store. The company did state that the live sportsbooks is available in a limited capacity, mostly to existing customers only. In-person wagering will be available starting December 7th, a date which no doubt live in infamy.
It is important to remember that a player should keep a record of winnings in order to claim them on their taxes. There is a special form for this. It is named Form W-2G.

Here are a sample of the first reviews we encountered when researching this:

“Embarrassing compared to other sportsbook apps. 1/5 stars – Tyler Bowling
“Big withdrawals take forever to withdrawal. Unfortunately won’t be using anymore.” 1/5 stars – Leo Kendall
“Best app and best UI of any sports book out there. No idea how they got it right when BetMGM, FanDuel, Barstool, Draftkings, and Bet365 got it so wrong.” 4/5 stars – Gnuise Shaboozie
