Falcons vs Vikings Free Picks – Trends – Preview

Scott Morris | November 3, 2023

The Minnesota Vikings will be competing against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, November 5 for Week 9 of the 2023 NFL season. The matchup will be a very interesting battle to witness since both teams are neck and neck when it comes to the record up till now (4-4).

The Vikings won 24-10 against the Green Bay Packers in Week 8, making it their third consecutive victory. They currently stand at second place in the NFC North.

For the Falcons, they are coming off of a 28-23 loss against the Tennessee Titans and despite this, they proudly stand at first place in the NFC South.

Let us take a closer look at how both teams have been doing in the past weeks.

Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings did manage to win the game against the Packers however, it came with bad news. They lost their starting quarterback Kirk Cousins to a torn Achilles and he will now have to miss the rest of the season. Another star player for the team, wide receiver Justin Jefferson is also out because of a hamstring injury he sustained a while back.

Before exiting the field, Cousins had managed 23 of 31 passes for 274 yards as well as two touchdowns which was excellent from the man. He was replaced by Jaren Hall for the rest of the game who sealed the deal with 3 of 4 passes for 23 yards.

Rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison has been doing a remarkable job on the field and caught not only 7 of 8 targets for 82 yards but also got a touchdown in the Week 8 game. With Jefferson out, the team depended heavily on Addison and he did not disappoint.

Atlanta Falcons

QB Taylor HeineckeThe Falcons haven’t won two consecutive games after their first two in the season and despite this, they are at the very top of the NFC South.

In the game against the Titans, the Falcons’ offense struggled quite a lot under Desmond Ridder who left the field halfway to be evaluated for a concussion. He was replaced by Taylor Heinicke for the second half who tossed for 175 yards and got a touchdown.

Rookie Bijan Robinson was also an excellent addition to the roster for the season. He is an exceptional player who managed to get his first touchdown in the Week 8 game. He will provide the team with just the skill and talent they need to move forward.

The Falcons need to win this upcoming game to make sure they stay on top of the table and they are very much capable of making that happen.

What to expect in Week 9?

Both the Minnesota Vikings and the Atlanta Falcons have a good shot at winning the game. The Vikings’ quarterback status may become an issue for the team which the Falcons can easily overpower. However, this is only possible if the Falcons run the ball effectively. Take Atlanta at home minus the points. The Vikings were just mediocre with their All Pro QB. Now they will feature a rookie who hasn’t had any real playing time at this level. Bet this game now at BetUS and get a 100$ Real bonus. Use Promo Code SBA125
