Browns vs Cardinals Game Preview and Free Betting Pick

The Arizona Cardinals (1-7) will be going against the Cleveland Browns (4-3) on Sunday, November 5 for Week 9 of the 2023 NFL season. As one sided as this game may seem, it will be an interesting watch for all football fans as the Cardinals struggle to move forward. They have shipped off QB Joshua Dobbs now that Kyler Murray is back. 

The Cardinals lost 31-24 against the Baltimore Ravens, despite being at home for the Week 8 game. They are currently standing at last in the NFL standings for the NFC West. On the other side, the Browns are also coming off of a 24-20 loss against the Seattle Seahawks, however, they are doing slightly better than the opposition.

Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals only have one win in the 2023 NFL season so far. Their Week 8 loss wasn’t a lot different from their other losses this season.

As the game started off, the Cardinals scored a touchdown on the opening drive but the Ravens were quick to answer back with a touchdown pass. Quarterback Joshua Dobbs struggled quite a bit to carry the team, finishing with 25 of 37 passes for 208 yards as well as a pair of touchdowns but he also had a pair of costly interceptions. The Cardinals did just enough to score late and backdoor cover the point spread however. 

For their defense, as hard as they tried they were just unable to slow down the Raven’s rushing attack. Cornerback Antonio Hamilton Sr. managed a pair of pass breakups and even Dante Stills led with a pair of sacks. 

On the bright side, rookie running back Emari Demercado continues to do great on the field. He made sure the run game was strong against the Ravens, rushing for 78 yards on 20 carries. He may be the only good thing going for the Cardinals at the moment.

The Cardinals desperately need a win. They don’t have much time left before their Week 14 bye and if they want to make their situation any better, now’s the time.

Cleveland Browns

The Browns have had to struggle quite a lot in the 2023 NFL season, mainly because of the many injuries their players have faced up till now.

With quarterback Deshaun Watson still dealing with his shoulder injury, P.J. Walker took over under center. He struggled a little bit, depending a lot on wide receiver Amari Cooper and tight end David Njoku, throwing only two interceptions and taking three sacks.

Running back Jerome Ford also wasn’t as involved as normal because of his injury which is why Kareem Hunt took the lead at the backfield with 55 yards on 14 carries and even scored a touchdown.

The Browns have all the potential to win the upcoming game unless their injury ridden roster becomes a serious problem for the team.

What to expect?

From what we’ve seen up till now it doesn’t look like the Arizona Cardinals are going to win or be able to make even a slight comeback. This may be the only reason the Cleveland Browns have a better chance of winning the Week 9 game on Sunday and covering the 8 point spread (sportsbetting.ag) as well.
