Philadelphia Eagles Vs New York Jets – NFL Free Picks

James Willis | October 13, 2023

The Philadelphia Eagles will be going face to face against the New York Jets on Monday, October 16 for some Week 6 NFL action. Both sides are capable of putting up a good fight so the affair will definitely not be one to miss out on.

The Eagles are coming off of a 23-14 win against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5 and the Jets also won against the Denver Broncos with a score of 31-21.

Let us see how well the teams played in Week 5 of the 2023 NFL season.

Recap of Philadelphia Eagles’ 5th Week

The Eagles continue to outdo themselves as they enter Week 6 with a record of 5-0. They recently took the field against the Rams and did what they do best; win.

The 23-14 victory can be owed to quite a few players on the team. Quarterback Jalen Hurts was the leader on the ground, finishing with 25/38 passes for 303 yards. He also managed a touchdown as well as a shove into the end zone for a rushing touchdown. Their rookie defensive tackle also showcased his skill and dominance with a two-sack performance. Linebacker Haason Reddick didn’t do much throughout the game but he did come up with back to back sacks at the end of the fourth quarter, sealing the win for the Eagles.

On the offense, if any player got the job done it was wide receiver A.J. Brown. He made his contribution, earning 127 yards on 6 receptions. Going over the century mark in receiving yards was proof of how good he really is.

The Eagles continue to impress and they don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. They are not going to let anyone break their winning streak in any of the upcoming games.

Recap of New York Jets’ 5th Week

The Jets are coming into this matchup with a 2-3 record for the season. They finally managed to take home their second win when they defeated the Broncos in Week 5.

It was quite the match with all players contributing and helping out as much as they could.

NY Jets RB Breece HallRunning back Breece Hall exceeded expectations when he carried the ball 22 times for 177 yards and also got a touchdown. This was to go along with the three receptions he managed for 17 yards. Quarterback Zach Wilson played pretty well and finished the game with 19 of 26 passes for 199 yards. Linebacker Quincy Williams came up with two sacks, one of which was on the opposition’s last drive and sealed the victory for the Jets. Fellow linebacker C.J. Mosley allowed just 28 yards and finished with two tackles as well as six more defensive stops.

The Jets have all the skill and talent on their roster they need to win another game in the upcoming game and they will do whatever it takes to make that happen.

What to expect in Week 6?

Both the Eagles and the Jets will go up against each other in a matchup that promises to be a high scoring one. As hard as the Jets seem to be trying, the Eagles may just remain undefeatable yet again. BetAnySports.eu currently has the Eagles as 7 point favorites. It’s truly hard to bet against the Eagles and for the Jets here. So, we are suggesting a small play on the Eagles. Perhaps buy the half point to bring it down to 6.5
