Cincinnati Bengals Vs Baltimore Ravens Week 2 Free Pick
The Cincinnati Bengals will face the Baltimore Ravens in a Week 2 AFC North matchup on Sunday, September 17. It will be a very exciting game to see after last season when the teams went 1-1 in head to head games.
What does Week 1 have to say?
Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals face defeat against the Cleveland Browns in their Week 1 game. They may have headed into the game as 1.5-point favorites but they ended up losing 24-3. Their performance was horrible throughout. They ended the match with just 75 yards on the ground and 82 in the air. The team needs to work on a lot if they wish to do any better in the future.
Joe Burrow didn’t play well at all throughout the entire game, managing only 14 of 31 passes for 82 yards. Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase wasn’t of any help either, catching 5 passes for 39 yards. Even Joe Mixon wasn’t able to do anything to make the situation better. The Bengals were a mess and didn’t have any control over the game. Their defense wasn’t bad; it just couldn’t make up for all the other things that went wrong.
Baltimore Ravens
On the other hand, the Ravens went head to head against the Houston Texans and won 25-9. Each and every player was on top of his game and played quite well.
Not only did Justice Hill grab two touchdowns on the ground but also Lamar Jackson passed for 169 yards. Jackson didn’t do great but still a lot better than what his average stats had predicted. JK Dobbins also managed to add a touchdown before he tore his Achilles and, unfortunately, will have to sit out for the entire season. They must make adjustments so that they are able to maintain their good work even without Dobbins. Among all these players, the one who grabbed the most attention was receiver Zay Flowers. The rookie led the team with nine receptions and 78 yards proving he was a good choice out of the draft. The entire team had something to contribute and that is what led them towards victory.
What to expect in Week 2?
The Week 2 matchup is an important one because both sides have all the potential to be at the top of the AFC North standings by the end of the season. The Cincinnati Bengals cannot afford to lose again so early on in the season and they will have to work on their offensive side to make things better. On the opposite side, the Baltimore Ravens are in a good place and have a better chance at winning the game on Sunday. They are underdogs and will continue their great work on the field. However, if the Bengals want to bounce back, this is their chance. But for that they will have to put up a fight better than ever before. This Week 2 face off certainly isn’t one to miss. We are unsure how Bengals QB Burrows is feeling after his blowout last week and only being back in action less than 1 month. The safe bet is to take Ravens in our opinion.
