The 2022 NBA Finals matchup is set. The Golden State Warriors will be facing off against the Boston Celtics. This is an interesting matchup as a historically great dynasty takes on one of the newer great dynasties. Also, this is Golden State’s return to the championship stage after injuries caused them to implode several years ago.
The Celtics were able to dispatch of the pesky Miami Heat last night in a 100-96 win in Miami. Boston just covered the 3 point chalk in that game and sent the franchise to its 22nd Finals appearance;. They have won an amazing 17 of those 21 series. They last won in 2008 against the Lakers with Paul Pierce as their leader.
The Warriors steamrolled the Dallas Mavericks in their conference matchup, winning the series 4-1. Their are truly hitting on all cylinders and really the only thing that can keep them from winning it all is if their shooting goes cold.
The Warriors have home court advantage and are favored in this series though not by much. In game one they are 3.5 point chalk to the visiting Celts. The public is expected to bet lopsidedly on the favored Warriors but you never actually know until the bets come streaming in. Game 1 in this Thursday, June 2nd.
