Packers Huge Line Move After Rodgers Covid Diagnosis – Lied About Vaccine
The Green Bay Packers announced that their starting QB Aaron Rodgers is sick with Covid-19 and that he will miss Sunday’s game at Kansas City. The betting line instantaneously moved from a pick em’ to K.C. -7.5 points. This is one of the larger point spread moves we have seen for a single player during our time in the business.
Starting QB’s are the most important piece of the team and the most valuable in regards to line moves. You may see a lines move 2-3 points if a star RB or WR is listed as OUT. Some QB’s have caused a line to move 4-6 points when it was announced they were not playing. Rodgers is one of the very top 2 or three players in the league so it is no wonder the line moved so much. That coupled with the fact that his replacement, 2nd year player Jordan Love, has seen very little playing time and is largely unproven.
The Chiefs are trying to put all of their pieces together after a 3-4 start. Last week they held on to defeat the lowly Giants y a FG to move to 4-4 on the season.
The major controversy coming from all this is not the fact that Rodgers has covid and will miss the game, but apparently that he lied about having been vaccinated. See the video below for more information.
