2 Free Picks NFL week 8 in 2021

Professional handicappers do their research and sell their picks. We are not professional handicappers but we are privy to the same sort of info they are which include:

  1. stats & trends
  2. injuries
  3. weather
  4. public betting trends
  5. sharp action

This week we have handicapped two NFL games and selected 2 picks for NFL week 8 which we plan to wager ourselves. We share this information with our readers as a free service to you.

Colts vs Titans Free Pick

The Colts are coming off a pretty convincing beating of the 49ers in San Fran. So they were installed as 2.5 point favorites over the Titans who are coming off a convincing win of their own, beating the Chiefs 27-3.

The Titans are 5-2 straight up and feature the best running back in the league (and its not even close). The Colts are 3-4 straight up. Both teams are a healthy 5-2 against the point spread. Both teams score an average of three more points than they allow.

The Titans and Colts already played one another this year and the Titans won 25-16 in Nashville. The Colts are playing a bit better than they were back then and are looking to win their third straight. The Titans are a tough team right now and are looking to win their fourth straight.

The injuries seem about even on both sides and no key players are expected to miss this game. Gameday weather is expected to be nice with a high of 66 degrees and mostly to partly sunny.

The Colts do pretty well against the run so look for them to stack the box in order to stop Derrick Henry. They will want to force Ryan Tannehill to make the throws, something of which he is capable.

Colts vs Titans free pick week 8 in 2021Carson Wentz has settled in at QB and is playing good football. Tennessee only allows 227 yards per game in the air so look for a strong defensive effort from the DB’s. If they can get 1+ int’s and rattle Wentz then the Titans will win this game.

The betting has been lopsided depending on which sportsbook you check in with. The Titans are being bet 64% of the time at one book but just 28% of the time at another. In our mind this game will be a great contest but the smart money in on the Titans here. Bet this pick now at these top sportsbooks

Kansas City vs New York Giants

The Giants are coming off of a drubbing of the Carolina Panthers last week and are feeling pretty good about themselves. They are traveling to Kansas City to take on a Chiefs team which is trying to find itself after dropping a game to Tennessee last week and possessing a less-than-average record (3-4).

Star QB Patrick Mahomes is probable to play in this game after he was roughed up some last week. Its do or die time for the Chiefs so they really don’t have the luxury of sitting Mahomes right now.

The point spread for this game opened at Chiefs -13 before being dropped to Chiefs -9.5 points. About 68% of the public are backing the Chiefs for this Sunday Night Football game and we happen to agree with them.

If there is a game on this schedule where the Chiefs could come out and assert their dominance this is it. The Giants have lost by 14 to the Broncos, 24 to the Cowboys and 17 to the Rams this season. The Chiefs are in the same league with these teams talent wise. Can they put it together Monday night? We believe so.

In us picking the Chiefs to cover we are going against two trends that we usually like, the aforementioned lopsided betting on the Chiefs and the fact that Kansas City is 1-8 ATS in its last 9 games when playing against the NY Giants. If the Chiefs cannot win this game by double digits their season may be in ruin. Take the Chiefs -9.5 points. Bet this pick now at these top sportsbooks
