BetOnline Addresses Weekend Outage with Customers

BetOnline News

If you are a customer of BetOnline you are likely aware that they were the victim of a DDoS attack this weekend which shut down their site from early Saturday morning to late Sunday afternoon. The real victims of this event are the thousand of customers who were shut out of their accounts.

Although DDoS attacks are illegal and impossible to deter, they have been neutralized by some other entities before they started. Some companies seem to have more success than others when it comes to stopping these things. Customers not being able to access their accounts for 36 hours during the busiest time of the week will have long running repercussions for sure. The company sent out a message today to clients. Here is the exact message:

“Dear Valued Customer,

BetOnline is up and running at nearly full capacity.

You can access the new and classic versions of the website through desktop and mobile. The sportsbook, racebook, live betting, poker and casino products are all available.

Keep your eyes on your inbox in the next couple of days for special promos and offers to thank you for your patience and loyalty.

Don’t forget that the Monday Night Football doubleheader has an early start at 5:00 pm ET tonight! Nearly 65% of the spread bets are on the Chiefs (at Bills) in the first leg of the doubleheader, and 75% of the action is on the ‘over’ in the Cowboys vs. Cardinals nightcap.

As always, don’t hesitate to contact our friendly Customer Service department via phone, email or live chat with questions, issues or concerns.

Sincerely,

The BetOnline Team”
