ACC Tournament Odds
This year there has been a little bit of a shake-up in the ACC. Most years it is Duke or UNC that are favored to win this tournament. And there are even some years where an underling like Wake Forest, Maryland or current defending national champion Virginia win it.
But this year sees the emergence of Florida State. This team is the real deal and according to the top 25 rankings released yesterday, are number 10 in the nation. FSU is 26-5 overall and 16-4 in the ACC, the conference which is consider the best in the nation in most years, this year being the exception.
These high marks and rankings don’t mean that FSU will definitely win the conference tourney. On the contrary. When it comes to the ACC, it really can be any one of the top team’s tournament to win. FSU last won this tournament in 2012.
Don’t Count Virginia Out
The current defending national champions are playing really good ball having won 8 in a row, including a win over rival Duke. The team is 23-7 SU and 15-5 in the conference. At +600, I think that the cavaliers are a smart bet. They still have outstanding defense and that wins games. Coach Tony Bennett knows how to get his team prepared for tournaments.
