Largest Bets Placed on Super Bowl 54
We are just four days out from the big game and sportsbooks have been abuzz with bets. Hundreds of thousands of bets have streamed in to various sportsbooks around the world on the big game. Many of the bets are prop bets and there have been plenty of bets on the total (over/under) as well. But, the side (point spread) and moneyline are where most of the action has been placed thus far.
Some of the larger bets made public have been reported by Las Vegas and a few other “onshore” sportsbooks. Here is a timeline of some of the larger bets:
January 19 – $110,000 wager placed on the Over 52.5 at SuperBookUSA. The total has since moved to 54 points.
January 19 – William Hill reports a $100,000 wager on San Francisco moneyline (even money).
January 19 – $33,000 bet placed on Chiefs -110 at William Hill.
January 21 – $684,000 wager placed on San Francisco +2 points at DraftKings.
January 21 – $187,000 wager placed on San Francisco moneyline (+107) at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races in West Virginia.
January 28 – $550,000 bet placed on Kansas City -1 at the Bellagio.
January 29 – $91,000+ wager placed on San Francisco +1 at SuperbookUSA.
And “Mattress Mack” the furniture store owner from Houston looks like he is chasing his World Series losses (or has an inside tip) and has wagered $1M on San Francisco.
Mattress Mack is back, placing a $1 million bet on the 49ers ML at +120 odds at The Mirage.
It’s the largest #SuperBowlLIV wager so far.
