Second Round NFL Playoff Point Spreads and Leans
The wild card round of the NFL playoffs was exciting to say the least. You had two straight up upsets and every game was pretty close down to the end. Even the Eagles had a shot at tying the game at the end of their contest with Seahawks. The Philly starting QB was knocked out in the first half.
The Vikings going to New Orleans and beating them straight up as a nine point underdog was the biggest shocker of the weekend. Many people believed that this was Drew Brees best shot to win another Super Bowl.

Leans and Thinking
Viking at 49ers
The last time the Vikings went out to the left coast, they came away with a 39-10 beat down of the Chargers. Before that they fell to the Seahawks 37-30. The Vikings are playing inspired ball. The Niners have home field and the crowd will be raucous. I don’t see any real edge on either side of this 7 point spread however. Whichever way it moves, I am probably going to bet the opposite. But, it probably won’t move off of this key number.
Titans at Ravens
Who wants to face the Ravens right now? Nobody. They can slam you even with their backups in the game, as evidenced of the beating they put on Pittsburgh in week 17.
The Titans got one in New England but now must face off against the Super Bowl favorite. I have a very slight lean on Baltimore. They will be hungry.
Texans at Chiefs
OK, the Texans pulled off an OT squeaker at home vs the Bills. This should be given its full credit. The Bills are very good. Houston is 5-2-1 away from home ATS. But KC is 5-3 ATS at home. Still, I am leaning on Houston plus all those points.
Seahawks at Packers
Playoff battles between these two teams have been notoriously scrappy. Packers are on a five game win streak. But do hey have enough weapons to keep it going? This is a tough one and I really don’t have an early lean on it either.
