MNF Chiefs at Chargers Quick Pick

We will make this one short and sweet. We want to go over some trends and give our final free pick for tonight’s Monday Night Football game featuring the Kansas City Chiefs at the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Chiefs are currently favored -6 points and the total is 53 points at most online sportsbooks. We will give you several exhibits why we like the Chargers in tonight’s game.

Against the Public betting

Many of our regular readers know that when a side is getting lopsided action for a prime time game, we really look into taking the opposite side. According to our friends at BetOnline – 75% of the action is on Kansas City. Why not be on the same side as the sportsbook for a change?

When we entered a “guess the score” contest earlier this week, we entered the score:

Chiefs: 23

Chargers: 27

You know what they say about taking tests: Don’t overthink your answer. The first one is most likely to be correct.

Trends

• Kansas City is 2-5 ATS in its last 7 games
• Kansas City is 2-4 SU in its last 6 games
• LA Chargers is 12-6 SU in its last 18 games at home

However, the Chargers have not been good against the Chiefs in particular, going just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games when playing Kansas City. Still, I like those trends I listed above.

I am not a big fan of betting Under on games I have to watch but the same evidence above lends itself to an Under bet, if you are into that sort of thing. The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Chargers’ last 7 games at “home”. The game is in Mexico City so it is not exactly home however.
