NBA Championship Odds

NBA Championship odds currently reflect the chances a team has to win the championship based on mathematical probability, forecasts mixed with betting from the public that will cause linemakers to change odds. When more people bet on one team, the odds go down, the payoff becomes less. The other team’s odds move up, paying off higher and making them more attractive to bettors. Sportsbooks overall goal is to balance the action and get paid on the vig (betting fees figured into the formula).
