The betting odds on who will be elected President of the United States are published and available from multiple sportsbooks. Other than the strong possibility that Donald Trump may run again, there are no other clear-cut candidates. The list has a mix of entertainers and politicians. The entertainer influence is as high as it has ever been due to the fact that Donald Trump won in 2016. People have short-term memories and only think of him as a TV figure from the reality game show The Apprentice, forgetting that the only reason he had that show to begin with is because he was a billionaire businessman. It is for that reason I think entertainers should be valued less if you are thinking of betting a few of these things.
Donald Trump is the overwhelming favorite at +200. That means if you bet $100 on Trump you win $200. Elizabeth Warren is in second place with +1000 odds. Mike Pence is at +1400 which helps reinforce something that I can see happening, Donald Trump not running again. Four years of the dog and pony poo show that is the office of the Presidency may be about all he can take. If he doesn’t run again, he will announce that Pence will carry on his dream or vision or whatever.
