College Footabll Week 4 Betting Results

Scott Morris | September 25, 2017

Week 4 of the college football regular season is in the record books. During Week 4, the favorites were 44-14 straight up and 25-33 against the spread. The home team was 29-29 SU and 22-36 ATS. The Over/Under finished the week at 26-32.

The three biggest underdogs to win outright were Virginia +13.5 over Boise State 42-33, North Carolina State +10.5 over Florida State 27-21 and TCU +9.5 over Oklahoma State 44-31.

The three biggest favorites that covered were Virginia Tech -29.5 over Old Dominion 39-0, Washington State -28 over Nevada 45-7 and Indiana -22 over Georgia Southern 51-17.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys looked to be one of the top two teams in the Big 12 with rivals Oklahoma through three weeks, but lost Saturday to TCU at home 44-31. Rivals Oklahoma did not fare much better but squeaked out a 49-41 over a Baylor team that was 0-3 SU and ATS entering the game.

Florida State returned to action after an absence of two-week and did not play well with true freshman quarterback James Blackman and lost to North Carolina State 27-21.

No. 1 ranked Alabama visited Vanderbilt as 20-point chalk and waltzed to a 59-0 rout. The Crimson Tide offense has now scored 41 points or more for three straight games, while the defense is giving up a meager 10 points per game.

Florida took advantage of poor Kentucky defensive changes to squeak out a 28-27 win, giving the Gators 31 straight wins over the Wildcats.

Mississippi State could not continue its high from beating LSU and fell to Georgia 31-3. Georgia is now 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS and its defense is giving up 11.5 points per game helping the UNDER cash in all four of their games.

Penn State continues to roll. The Nittany Lions defeated Iowa in a Big 10 showdown 21-19 on a touchdown pass from Trace McSorley to Juwan Johnson with 0:00 on the clock for the win.

USC downed Cal 30-20 to win their 13th straight game dating back to last year in late September when they lost for the last time.
