Betting Props for Jared Goff’s Debut With Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams were expected to have a better season than they have had to date. The Rams are just 4-5 straight up and 4-4-1 against the spread. Los Angeles sits in third place in the NFC West behind Seattle and Arizona.
One of the reasons the Rams are playing mediocre football is the team’s lack of offense. That could change this week.
Jeff Fisher the Rams head coach has finally decided to start rookie quarterback Jared Goff on Sunday when the Rams host the Miami Dolphins.
Goff was picked first overall in the NFL draft this past spring, but has only worked on occasion in practice with the first team offense while attempting to become familiar with the Rams pro offense.
Goff will replace Case Keenum who over the last three games has managed just 2 touchdown passes while tossing 5 interceptions.
The big question for book makers is can Goff be successful with such a horrible offense. The offense for Los Angeles averages an anemic 15.4 points each game thus far this season and in 7 of its 9 games has scored 14 or fewer points.
The biggest problem with the Rams offense, besides Keenum, is the offensive line. The line has protected the quarterback well all season, but it cannot open holes for Rams running back Todd Gurley to get through.
If Gurley cannot gain yards against Miami, the Rams will need Goff to step up in his debut or they will certainly go down in defeat.
Goff will face a Dolphins defense that has played exceptionally well during its current winning streak of four games. Over its last four games, the Miami defense has given up just 6 passing touchdowns while intercepting 8 passes.
Here are a few prop bets available for Jared Goff in his debut as the Rams starter.
