Week 11 College Football Betting Trends Recap

Week 11 of the college football regular season is now in the books with Week 12 starting on Tuesday.

Here is a quick recap of some of the betting results from the past week of games.

In Week 11, favorites were 46-12 straight up and 32-26-1 against the spread. At home, favorites were 29-30 SU and 24-34-1 against the spread. The over/under point total was 26-32-1 in favor of the under.

The biggest dog on the week to win outright was New Mexico at +30.5 over Boise State by a score of 31-24. The biggest favorite to cover on the weekend was San Diego State at -23.5 over Wyoming by a score of 38-3.

Bits and Pieces

  • On Saturday, things were shaken up a bit. Oklahoma continued to move up with its win at Baylor 44-34. The loss was Baylor’s first on the season. Oklahoma has now won as well as covered in five straight games since it Red River rivalry loss. The OVER has cashed in five consecutive Oklahoma games and in seven of the Sooners last eight overall.
  • In the Pac-12, the weekend was nothing less than eventful. Oregon sent Sanford to its second loss and likely knocked them out of the running for the Pac-12 north title with a 38-36 victory.
  • Washington State rallied to score a touchdown with only 3 seconds left to play to stun the UCLA Bruins.
  • Arizona was able to outlast Utah in a game that went to two overtimes and likely ended the Utes hope of a playoff spot.
  • Utah is now just 1-3 ATS over its last four games, while the OVER has cashed in four of its past five.
  • TCU barely survived a home game against lowly and winless Kansas, but prevailed nonetheless 23-17. The game ended on 40 points and had an over/under of 71.
  • West Virginia defeated Texas 38-20 and ended a streak of five straight ATS losses.
  • Michigan State’s win was not pretty over Maryland but nonetheless the Spartans 24-7 win covered the number for the third time in the past four games.
  • Florida clinched a trip to the SEC championship game with a 24-14 win over South Carolina and the Gators are now 7-3 ATS over their 10 games played.
