NFL Week 7 Betting Review

Scott Morris | October 27, 2015

Week 7 in the NFL is in the books following Arizona’s win over Baltimore on Monday Night Football. Here is a recap of Week 7 in the NFL.

Favorites on the week were 10-4 straight up and 6-7-1 against the spread. At home, favorites were 10-4 SU and 6-7-1 ATS. The over/under finished the week 7-7.

The biggest underdog to win outright was the New Orleans Saints +5.5 over Indianapolis 27-21.

The biggest favorite to cover the spread was Seattle -6.5 over San Francisco 20-3.

St. Louis improved at home to 2-1 SU and ATS with a 24-6 victory over Cleveland. Four of the past five Rams games have cashed on the UNDER. The team is allowing only 16 points a game over its past four games.

St. Louis hosts San Francisco on Sunday and opened as 8-point chalk. San Francisco is 3-9-1 ATS over its past 13 games played and on the road 1-3-1 ATS over their past 5 games.

San Francisco is 0-5-1 ATS over its past six NFC West games while St. Louis is 2-5 ATS over its past seven NFC games and 5-11 ATS over its last 16 games at home versus a team with a record below .500.

Miami routed Houston for a second consecutive win with new interim coach Dan Campbell. More importantly for bettors the Dolphins are 2-0 ATS and OVER in his first two games as coach.

Even though they have played well under Campbell, the Dolphin as 7.5-point dogs in this Thursday’s game against New England.

Four intraconference games took place in Week 7. The NFC was 4-0 SU and 2-2 ATS in those four games. One cover was last minute by Baltimore as the Ravens had a back door cover by scoring a touchdown on a blocked punt late in the fourth quarter.

Tennessee covered at home as a dog, losing just 10-7 to Atlanta. St. Louis easily covered against the Browns and New Orleans upset Indianapolis.

The UNDER was 4-0 in the intraconference games and is 12-5 over the past 17 AFC vs. NFC games over the past four weeks. For the season the UNDER is now 19-8-1 in intraconference games.
