Tampa Bay Slight Favorite at Home in Stanley Cup Finals Game 5
Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals will be played on Saturday when the Chicago Blackhawks visit the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Lightning is the slight favorite playing on their home ice for Game 5.
The series is tied at 2-2 heading into Game 5. The best line on Chicago currently is +112, while the best on Tampa is sitting on +100. The goal total is 5.5 with the UNDER at -145.
While Chicago was the big favorites in Games 3 and 4 at home, reaching as high as -185 before Game 4 on Wednesday, the Lightning is not being given the same respect. Tampa is the slight favorite on most shops, but Chicago is -120 at one.
The Lightning outplayed the Blackhawks in Game 4, winning the battle of possession 58% to 42%. Tampa Bay rallied over the final couple of minutes, but Chicago goaltender Corey Crawford played very well the entire night and especially down the stretch. The puck luck for Tampa ran out and it will be looking to regain that again on Saturday.
Andri Vasilevskiy has filled in for Ben Bishop in net for the Lightning. Bishop is suffering from a mysterious injury. However, Vasilevskiy is just 20, but has played well and is considered one of the best goalie prospects in the NHL.
Despite having to play two of the final three games on the road, Chicago is the favorite at -130 to win the Stanley Cup. There are also a number of props available at many of the different sportsbook shops, especially those overseas.
