College Basketball Weekend Picks

Scott Morris | March 6, 2015

Well, that was a quick season! For the major conference teams, Saturday is the final regular season game. For the mid-majors, it’s conference tournament time. College basketball season always goes by so quickly. Before we get to conference championship week and then the NCAA Tournament, we need to finish the season on a high note so that we have plenty of money to wager on tournament games. If you’re looking for a few games to bet on this weekend, here are a few that look very tempting to us:

(please note: lines not currently available)

North Carolina over Duke

Duke is going to be favored because they are the better team and the higher ranked team. But the smart money is going to be on North Carolina. This is an epic rivalry. This game doesn’t mean much in terms of ACC or NCAA Tournament seeding. Both teams will receive great seeds in both tournaments. So this game is more for pride. Neither team likes to lose this game. Duke won a thriller a couple of weeks ago at home against UNC. I look for UNC to get revenge and win this game straight up. Don’t take Duke with any points here. Carolina played them tough and should have won the first match up. With this game being played on UNC’s home court, the smart money is on the Tar Heels.  Prediction: UNC 78 Duke 75 – Bet this pick now at YouWager.eu

NC State over Syracuse

If you can get a good line on this game, I would bet big on NC State. Syracuse was just slapped with some pretty harsh NCAA violations and are wrapping up a season in which they are ineligible for the post season. NC State still has some NCAA Tournament aspirations and has already pulled off a recent upset over North Carolina. The smart money is going to be on NC State because it’s unlikely Syracuse will even show up for this game. This game is only meaningful to NC State. There’s nothing for Syracuse to play for.  Prediction: NC State 74 Syracuse 62 – Bet this pick now at BetAnySports.eu

Virginia over Louisville

Virginia will be favored, as they should be. Louisville is starting to fall apart and haven’t been that great the past couple of months. Rick Pitino recently kicked Chris Jones off the team for an sexual assault allegations, and that is a big loss for Louisville. Jones was a key starter and an experienced player. Virginia doesn’t have a lot to play for other than trying to finish the season with just 1 loss. They already have the ACC title wrapped up and will be a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. But I still think they are too strong defensively for Louisville’s struggling offense to have much success against.  Prediction: Virginia 67 Louisville 56 – Bet this pick now at WagerWeb.ag

West Virginia over Oklahoma State

If you can get West Virginia at –7 or better, I’d jump all over it. This game could turn into a blowout. Oklahoma State has completely fallen apart since the middle of February. Their NCAA Tournament chances are still pretty good, but they are proving to be unworthy. Oklahoma State started 17-7 but has lost 4 of 5 and I expect a rout by West Virginia at home. West Virginia is looking to improve their positioning for the NCAA Tournament. Oklahoma State is fighting for their NCAA hopes. I like West Virginia here because I think Oklahoma State is finished.  Prediction: West Virginia 72 Oklahoma State 61  – Bet this pick now at TopBet.eu
