NFL Week 14 Picks Against the Spread

Right now, I would probably take the Green Bay Packers over anyone, regardless of the spread, in Lambeau Field. Green Bay is playing better than any other team right now. Aaron Rodgers is playing as well as he ever has, and that says a lot. The Packers are getting solid defense and rush offense as well. This is a complete team. Atlanta is capable of pulling off an upset, but not at Lambeau Field on Monday Night against the best team in the NFL right now. Green Bay is on a mission. They’ll defeat Atlanta by at least 14. Detroit (-9.5) versus Tampa Bay

Detroit showed a lot of moxie last week against Chicago. The Lions still have a shot at winning the NFC North, although it will be difficult to top Green Bay. Either way, Detroit is a solid football team that is having its best season in a long time. Detroit has a lot to play for. Tampa Bay does not. Calvin Johnson should have a field day against Tampa’s secondary. On the other side of the ball, it’s going to be very difficult for Tampa to score points. Arizona (+1) versus Kansas City

For my third game, I am taking arguably the NFL’s biggest game of the week. There’s a lot riding on this game for both teams, but more so for Kansas City. Arizona is in a very good position to make the playoffs, while Kansas City is in a dog fight after a rough last couple of weeks. That loss to Oakland two weeks ago just might come back to haunt the Chiefs at the end of the season. I’m taking Arizona in this game even though Carson Palmer is out because the Chiefs simply aren’t playing well right now and the Cardinals have home field advantage.
