South Carolina vs. Georgia Against the Public Play
NCAA Football Betting
October 6, 2012
Clearly this is one of the marquee games for this weekend, both teams being undefeated and ranked highly in the national polls. Georgia is ranked 5th in the nation and South Carolina is 6th. The game is being played at South Carolina and so they are slight favorites. At the time of writing this article Bet Revolution Sportsbook has South Carolina at -1.5. According to our Vegas connections about 2/3 of all bets placed thus far have been on Georgia. This gives us great insight into how this game may play out because we have always been fans of betting ATP (against the public) on well publicized games.
Furthermore, before this information was even available, our handicappers had been talking about how Georgia was overrated and South Carolina would be in the perfect spot to knock them off. The teams matchup very well. And in the last four meeting they have split 2-2. But the Georgia Bulldogs are 0-7 against the spread as underdogs the last three years. Is this a trend that will continue this weekend? We think so and are going to be throwing down on South Carolina Gamecocks.
