Sportsbook.com Issue Refunds To Packers Bettors

Scott Morris | September 27, 2012

The poor officiating by replacement refs in Monday’s Green Bay/Seattle game prompted Sportsbook.com to issue refunds to anyone who picked the Packers. This is a huge gutsy move by a sportsbook in Sportsbook Advisors opinion.

Late on Tuesday afternoon, Deadspin.com reported that the refund offer only applied to bettors on the Sportsbook.com site which serves non-US customers. Players from Sportsbook.ag were not eligible for the refund because they are a totally separate company.

This rapidly breaking Internet news item shows how the NFL referee lockout was impacting the sports betting world.  But fear no more. The NFL has agreed in terms to an 8 year contract with the regular referees and they are expected to be back for tonight’s game.

More about Sportsbook.com: Sportsbook.com, formerly the property of Jazette Enterprises, is owned and operated by the same company that owns youwin.com.  They have been moving up our ranks since the change in ownership and this move put them back on top. We have upgraded them to A rating. This is much deserved and  has been in the works for some time. We have also added them to the recommended sportsbooks lists all over the website.
