Intertops Not to Accept Anymore USA Players

Scott Morris | June 20, 2012

Intertops Sportsbook

Long time industry leader Intertops has announced it will no longer accept any new players from the United States of America.  Current players are free to continue business as usual. The United States is battling internally with the issue of gambling and some states are making efforts to legalize online sports betting as well as casino and poker play.

The issue of online betting became a major issue with the passage of a 2006 “Safe Port Act” which included some back-door legislation aimed at online wagering.

It is our best estimation that Intertops is lying low until the kinks in the current U.S. market are worked out and they then will jump through whatever hoops the individual states or feds deem necessary.
